Emissions Testing

In the state of New Jersey, all motorists are required to take their vehicles to get inspected every two years. This stipulation was set forth by the Motor Vehicle Commission as safety precautions. New cars, however, can be taken after they're four years old when it comes to their first inspection. However, the vehicles will not only be tested for smog and emissions; they will also be tested for their safety features, such as their turn signals and tires. Suspension, brakes and the lot will also be put to the test. If your car is registered in the state of New Jersey, you will be required to perform the emissions test.
